The first project that we did in math this year was create an optical illusion. The main focus for this project was to use our creativity to learn math through art. This taught us a lot about dimensions and how shading certain parts of the shapes can bring out the illusion. For my optical illusion, I filled in the paper with different shapes and then shaded them so that it looked like they were popping out of the page. I really enjoyed this project because it gave me the chance to use my creativity in order to learn something.
